A Day In Dublin 🇮🇪
You might be tempted to treat Dublin as an afterthought, landing here before racing off toward the cliffs, castles, and countryside of Ireland 🇮🇪
But slowing down here (even for a day!) is well worth it, dear reader.
Dublin is compact, walkable, and best enjoyed without rushing. You won’t see everything in one day, but you can absolutely get a feel for it.
Instead of breezing through, today we’re zooming in on what a thoughtfully planned day in Ireland’s capital can look like: a mix of iconic sights, green space, and just the right amount of pub energy.
A day in Dublin done well doesn’t require any luck, just a bit of good planning 🍀
MORNING
Start with a proper Irish breakfast at a local spot. From there, head to Trinity College to wander the Old Library, the Long Room, and the Book of Kells. Afterward, take a detour through St. Stephen’s Green before making your way to Dublin Castle or Chester Beatty for a pre-lunch wander.
AFTERNOON
You’re a tourist, so it’s time to do something “touristy.” Make your way toward the Temple Bar district for vintage shops, street art, and lunch at the famous bar. Depending on your interests, you could join a guided walking tour or visit the Guinness Storehouse or Jameson Distillery.
EVENING
Plan to have dinner somewhere that features traditional pub grub and a relaxed atmosphere, before ending the night with live music. Order something you wouldn’t normally choose and stay longer than you planned!
